ABSTRACT
Myiasis is an infective case which occurs when larvae settle on body tissues. The disease usually involves people who have predisposing factors and poor personal hygiene. Larvae can settle on many different parts of human body. Otomyiasis is condition which disturbs person extremely, is easy to diagnose and cure of seldomly result in a vital problem for human life. We report the case of left aural myiasis in a mentally retarded, deaf and dumb patient with chronic otitis media.

ÖZET
Miyazis, vücut dokularında sinek larvalarının yerleşmesiyle oluşan enfektif bir durumdur. Bu olgular predispozan faktörleri olan, kişisel hijyeni bozuk kişilerde daha sık görülmektedir. İnsan vücudunun birçok değişik bölgesinde yerleşebilirler. Otomiyazis, kişiyi aşırı derecede huzursuz eden tanı koyması kolay ve tedavisi yüz güldüren, hayatı nadiren tehdit eden bir sağlık sorunudur. Bu olgu sunumunda mental retarde, işitme ve konuşma engelli, bilateral kronik otitis media zemininde gelişen sol dış kulak yoluna yerleşmiş miyazis olgusu sunuldu.
