In the research of the hearing loss, the localization and degree of the hearing impairment is important. While hearing loss was detected by using pure tone audiometry, BERA and electrocohleography is used to confirm the localisation. Evaluation of the vestibular pathology made by positional, rotatory, caloric and oculamotory tests.In the study 45 patients were evaluated in Bayındır Medical Center ENT Department by using odiologic examinations, electronistagmography with calorici stimulation and BERA. The results obtained were correlated with each other to screen the relationship between them.

İşitme kayıplarının araştırılmasında kaybın derecesi ve lokalizasyonu önemlidir. Kayıp miktarı saf ses eşikleri ile saptanırken, lokalizasyon tayininde elektrokohleografi ve beyin sapı erken uyarılmış potansiyelleri kullanılmaktadır. Vestibüler patolojilerin değerlendirilmesi ise pozisyonel, kalorik, rotatuar, okulomotor vb. testlerin birlikte uygulanması ile mümkün olur. Bu çalışmada Bayındır Tıp Merkezi KBB Departmanına başvuran 45 hastanın odyometrileri, kalorik uyaranlı elektronistagmografileri ve beyin sapı işitsel uyarılmış potansiyelleri kantitatif ve sonuçları açısından birbirleri ile kıyaslanmış ve aralarında korelasyon gösterip göstermedikleri araştırılmıştır.
