ABSTRACT
Mucoceles are the cystic dilatations of the sinus mucosa formed by the retansion of secretions. The common findings in frontoethmoid mucoceles are diplopia, proptozis, Horner’s syndrome, cranial nerve palsies and panhypopituitarism. Mucoceles can destruct neighbouring structures by compression effect. In this case, we report a central visual field defect in 37 year old woman with frontoethmoid mucocele. Frontoethmoid mucoceles with orbital compression must be operated immediately for treatment of ophtalmologic findings.

ÖZET
Mukoseller, sekresyonların retansiyonuyla oluşan, sinüs mukozasının kistik dilatasyonlarıdır. Frontoetmoid sinüs mukosellerinde görülen ortak bulgular diplopi, proptozis, Horner sendromu, kranial sinir paralizileri ve panhipopitüitarizmdir. Mukoseller bası etkisi ile komşu yapıları destrükte edebilir. Bu vakada frontoetmoid mukoseli olan 37 yaşındaki kadın hastada bulunan santral görme alanı defektini bildirdik. Orbital bası bulgusu olan frontoetmoid mukosellerde oftalmik bulguların tedavisi için acil cerrahi müdahale yapılmalıdır.
