ABSTRACT
Proptosis is defined as the displacement of the eye ball forward. Proptosis which occurs during endoscopic sinus surgery, suggests orbital hemorrhage secondary to surgery. In the face of such a situation, medical and surgical methods should be applied quickly in order to decrease the pressure within the orbit. In this article, we presented a 44-year-old male patient who developed proptosis in the right eye of the patient while performing left-side endoscopic sinus surgery under general anesthesia and returned the eyeball after anesthesia was terminated. With this rare and interesting case report, the importance of anamnesis and pre-operative evaluation which are an integral part of physical examination was emphasized.
