ABSTRACT
Functional Endoscopic sinus surgery depends on the restoration of sinus ventilation and drainage disturbed in chronic sinusitis. In the success of this safe and effective surgery appropriate patient selection has an importance as well as definition and primary treatment of allergic conditions.

ÖZET
Fonksiyonel endoskopik sinüs cerrahisi, kronik sinüzitte bozulan sinüs ventilasyon ve drenajının yeniden sağlanması temeline dayanmaktadır. Oldukça güvenli ve etkili olan bu tedavinin başarılı olmasında doğru hasta seçiminin yanı sıra hastalarda allerjik kökenli patolojilerin araştırılması ve tespit edildiği taktirde öncelikle tedavi edilmesi önemli yer tutmaktadır.
