ABSTRACT
Secondary middle turbinate and bifid inferior turbinate are rare anatomical variations of the nasal cavity. Secondary middle turbinate usually originates from the lateral nasal wall and usually protrudes superomedially. Bifid inferior turbinate originates from a single root and results in double inferior turbinate. A secondary middle turbinate can be easily mistaken for a polyp, an osteoma, or a tumor. The bifid inferior turbinate can be overlooked during endoscopy. In this article, we report a case of huge secondary middle turbinate and bifid inferior turbinate. Secondary middle turbinate and bifid inferior turbinate are rare abnormalities but they are extremely important to recognize in order to avoid potential complications during endoscopic nasal procedures.
