ABSTRACT
Pierre-Robin Syndrome is characterized with micro and/or retrognathia, glossopitosis and cleft soft palate. Among hypoxic complications are cerebral impairment, cor pulmonale and growth retardation. Early diagnosis and treatment of the syndrome may prevent or decrease the severityof the above mentioned complications to minimum . In this paper a neonate with Pierre-Robin Syndrome associated with respiratory distress is presented who is treated by glossopexy is presented and the literature was reviewed.

ÖZET
Pierre-Robin sendromu (PRS), mikro ve/veya retrognathia, glossopitosis ve yumusak damakta kleft ile karakterizedir. Hipoksiye bağlı olarak serebral yetmezlik, core-pulmonale ve gelisme geriliği meydana gelebilir. Erken tanı ve tedavi ile bu komplikasyonlar minimuma indirilebilir veya önlenebilir . Bu yazıda; respiratuar distress sendromu ile beraber olan ve glossopeksi operasyonu uygulanan Pierre-Robin Sedromlu bir haftalık bebek hasta sunulmus ve literatür gözden geçirilmistir.
