In this study, the effect of delivery trauma on nasal septum was investigated, and for this purpose, a number of 166 naturally delivered and 93 cesarean delivered, total 259 newborns have been examined. Septal lesions were divided into two groups as (1) septal dislocation (luxation or subluxation), and (2) mild deviation. In naturally delivered newborns, three dislocations and eight mild deviations were found. In cesarean delivered ones (control group), only mild deviations were found in five cases. It is concluded that septal dislocations are related to delivery trauma while mild deviations are not related to that.

Bu çalışmada, doğum tarvmasının nazal septum üzerine etkisi araştırıldı ve bu amaçla, 166\'sı vaginal yolla, 93\'ü seksiyo ile doğan toplam 259 yeni doğan muayene edildi. Septum lezyonları (1) septal dislokasyon (lüksasyon veya sublüksasyon) ve (2) hafif deviasyon şeklinde iki grupta incelendi. Vaginal yolla doğanların üçünde dislokasyon, sekizinde hafif deviasyon saptanırken seksiyo ile doğanlarda (kontrol grubu.) beş vakada ve sadece hafif deviasyon saptandı. Septal dislokasyonların doğum travmasına bağlı olduğuna, buna karşın hafıf deviasyonların doğum travması ile ilgili olmadığına karar verildi.
