ABSTRACT
Extrinsic compression of the esophagus by aorta is a rare cause of dysphagia. Barium swallow pharyngoesophagography is es-
sential in diagnosis. Dysphagia caused by external compression from ectatic, tortuous or aneurysmal aorta due to old age related degeneration is termed as “dysphagia aortica”. We report compression of the esophagus by thoracic aorta in 79 years old female patient complaining of dysphagia.

ÖZET
Aortanın özefagusa dısarıdan basısı disfajinin nadir sebeplerinden biridir. Baryumlu farengoözefagografi, teshiste önemli yer almaktadır. Yasa bağlı dejenerasyonla olusan ektatik, tortoz veya anevrizmatik aortanın özefagusa dısarıdan basısı disfaji aortika olarak tanımlanır. Bu yazımızda yutma güçlüğü ile basvuran 79 yasındaki bayan hastada torasik aortanın özefagusa basısını sunmaktayız.
