Improvement in the endonasal surgery technique in recent years popularized the endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy as an alternative technique to traditional external approach. Avoidance of a cutaneous wound, direct access to the rhinostomy site, avoidance of disruption of medial canthal anotomy and pump function and shortening of the surgical time made the endoscopic technique more advantageous than external technique. We present here result of 17 patients who underwent endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy surgery. 1 of the cases was revision , the others were primary cases. After minumum 5 moths follow up period the procedure was successful in 14 patients (82.4%).

Son yıllarda endonazal görüntüleme yöntemlerindeki gelişmeye paralel olarak endoskopik dakriyosistorinostomi ameliyatı eksternal yaklaşıma alternatif haline gelmiştir. Skar dokusu olmaması, rinostomi sahasına direk ulaşılması ve intranazal anatominin de aynı anda değerlendirilebilmesi, medyal kantal anatomiye ve pompa fonksiyonuna zarar vermemesi, cerrahi süresinin daha kısa oluşu endoskopik yaklaşımı eksternal yaklaşıma göre avantajlı hale getirmiştir. Bu çalışmada endoskopik dakriyosistorinostomi ameliyatı uygulanmış ve düzenli takibi yapılan 17 hastanın sonuçları tartışılmıştır. Cerrahi uygulanan hastalardan 1 tanesi revizyon diğerleri primer olgulardır. En az 5 aylık takip sonrasında 14 hastada (%82.4) başarılı sonuç elde edilmiştir.
