Fibrous dysplasia (FD) is a benign condition that may involve a single or multiple bones of the skeleton. In head and neck, maxilla, mandible, parietal, occipital, and temporal bones are the sites of predilection while the ethmoid bone involvement is very rare. Here, a case of FD originating from the left ethmoid sinus is reported. A 37-year-old female was admitted with the complaints of left frontal headache and postnasal drip. Computerized tomography revealed a mass in the left ethmoid cavity with left frontal sinusitis. The mass was totally excised using transnasal endoscopic approach. In these benign lesions, the aim of the treatment should be the improvement of physiologic function and external deformities. In this aspect, endoscopic sinus surgery is a convenient method for both esthetic and functional point of view.

Fibröz displazi (FD) iskelette tek ya da birden fazla kemik tutulumu ile seyreden benign bir fibroosseöz lezyondur. Baş boyun bölgesinde en sık maksilla, mandibula, parietal, oksipital ve temporal bölgeler tutulurken, etmoid kemik tutulumu oldukça nadirdir. Bu çalışmada sol etmoid sinüsten köken alan bir FD vakası sunulmuştur. Otuzyedi yaşında bayan hasta sol alında ağrı ve geniz akıntısı şikayeti ile görüldü. Çekilen bilgisayarlı tomografide sol frontal sinüzitin eşlik ettiği sol etmoid kaviteyi dolduran kitle saptandı. Kitle transnazal endoskopik yaklaşımla total olarak eksize edildi. Benign natürde olan bu lezyonlarda tedavide amaç fonksiyonel işleyiş ve estetik bozukluğun düzeltilmesi olmalıdır. Endoskopik sinüs cerrahisi bu gözle bakıldığında estetik ve fonksiyonel açılardan kullanımı uygun bir metoddur.
