Castleman’s disease of the head and neck is often a diagnostic problem due to paucity of sings and symptoms and its ability to mimic other neoplasm The definitive diagnosis is only through histopathologic diagnosis. Since the natural course of both types of Castleman’s disease displays continued enlargement of the involve lymph node until it is excised, the way it can be diagnosed and treated is by complete surgical excision of the mass and surrounding nodes. Castleman’s disease must be included in the differential diagnosis of lymphoproliferative disorders involving the head and neck.

Castleman hastalığı baş-boyun bölgesinde nadir görülen lenfoproliferatif bir hastalıktır. Baş-boyun bölgesinde nadir görülmesi ve spesifik bir belirtisinin olmaması nedeniyle, bu bölgede görülen diğer neoplazilerden ayıredilmesi zordur. Ayırıcı tanı ancak histopatolojik inceleme ile yapılabilir. Hyalin vasküler ve plazma hücreli olmak üzere iki histolojik tipi vardır. Cerrahi olarak, çevre lenf nodlarıyla birlikte çıkartılmak suretiyle tedavi edilebilir. Bu yazıda bir vaka sebebiyle, baş-boyun bölgesinde nadir görülen bu lenfoproliferatif hastalığın boyun kitlelerinde ayırıcı tanıda düşünülmesi gerektiğini vurgulamak ve literatürü gözden geçirmek istedik
