ABSTRACT
Recurrent respiratory papillomatosis is the most common benign neoplasm in children. Despite its benign histology, it has potentially morbid consequences and is often difficult to treat because of its tendency to recur and spread throughout the respiratory tract. Several treatment modalities have been used, however, none of them alone were found to be effective. In this study we report a child, treated with intralesional cidofovir injection combined with transoral endoscopic CO2 laser surgery. Treatment results are discussed with current literature.

ÖZET
Rekürren respiratuar papillomatosis çocuklarda en sık görülen benign larenks neoplasmıdır. Benign bir hastalık olmasına rağmen, havayollarına yayılım ve rekürrensler nedeni ile hastalığın tedavisi güçtür ve morbid sonuçlar doğurabilir. Tedavide birçok yöntem denenmiş olup, hiçbirisi tek başına etkili değildir. Bu yazıda transoral endoskopik CO2 lazer rezeksiyonu ile eş zamanlı intralezyoner cidofovir enjeksiyonu kullanılarak tedavi edilen bir çocuk olgu ele alınmaktadır. Tedavi sonuçları güncel literatür ile tartışılmaktadır.
