ABSTRACT
By the use antibiotics lateral sinus thrombosis is seen rarely as a complication of chronic middle ear infection. Lateral sinus thrombosis must be considered in a patient with a high or septic fever and acute otitis media with a slight or intermittent fever with chronically draining ear. Today cerebral angiography, computed tomography and magnetic rezonans imaging is very important for diagnosis, but surgical exploration may be necessary to confirm the diagnosis. Four cases with lateral sinüs thrombosis are presented and discussed with respect to diagnosis and treatment.

ÖZET
Antibiyotiklerin kullanıma girmesi ile kronik otitis media komplikasyonu olarak lateral sinüs trombozu çok nadir olarak görülmeye başlanmıştır. Yüksek ateş ve akut otitli veya hafif-orta derecede yüksek ateş ve kronik otitli bir hastada lateral sinüs trombozu düşünülmelidir. Günümüzde serebral anjiografi, bilgisayarlı tomografi ve manyetik rezonans görüntüleme tanıda önemlidir, ancak kesin tanı cerrahi eksslorasyanla konur. Bu çalışmada, lateral sinüs trombozu olan 4 hasta sunuldu, teşhis ve tedavi metodu tartışıldı.
