Malignant schwannoma of the nose and paranasal sinuses is an uncommon entity. Only about ten cases have been reported in the literature to date. Malignant schwannomas in head and neck region usually arise from last 4 cranial nerves and show an aggressive progress. Our case is a 65 yeis old male patient diagnosed as malignant schwannoma of the left nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses. Left partial maxillectomy with lateral rhinotomy approach followed by a postoperative course of radiotherapy was performed as the treatment. The patients is alive without disease in his postoperative eighth month and in follow-up. in this study, the case is reviewed by the light of the literature.

Burun ve paranasal sinüslerin malign schwannomu çok nadir izlenir. Literatürde bugüne kadar 10 olgu rapor edilmiştir. Baş boyun bölgesinde genellikle son dört kafa çiftinden gelişirler ve agresif seyrederler. Olgumuz sol burun ve paranasal sinüslerde \"malign schwannom\" tanısı alan 65 yaşında erkek hastadır. Sol lateral rinotomiyle parsiyel maksillektomi ve postoperatif radyoterapi şeklinde tedavi uygulanan hastamız, tedavi sonrası 8. ayında halen sağ ve hastalıksız olarak takiptedir. Olgumuz, literatür bilgileri gözden geçirilerek tartışıldı.
