Wegener’s granulomatosis is a systemic vasculitic disease characterized by necrotiing granulomas and vasculitis of small- and medium-sized arteries and venules. Its insidance is rare. Classically, Wegener’s granulomatosis involves a triad of organ systems: the upper respiratory tract, the lungs and the kidneys. Diagnosis is made by a combination of physical examination, laboratory studies and tissue biopsy. Otorhinolaryngologic manifestations of this disease include serous otitis media, recurren rhinosinusitis, relapsing polychondritis, oral ulcers and subglottic stenosis. The mainstay of treatment remains systemic therapy using a combination of glucocorticoids and immunosuppressants. In our article we investigate the otorhinolaryngologic involvements of a patient who had a diagnosis of WG previously. Early diagnosis and appropriate treatment are very important to prevent irreversible changes. We discuss the diagnostic studies and treatment in association with the literature.

Wegener Granülomatozu küçük ve orta boy damarları tutan, nekrotizan granülomlarla karakterize sistemik bir vaskülittir. Çok nadir rastlanır. Klasik olarak Wegener Granülomatozu üç organ sistemini tutmaktadır: üst solunum yolları, akciğer ve böbrekler. Tanı fizik muayene, laboratuar testleri ve doku biopsisi ile konulmaktadır. Otorinolaringolojik tutulumları genellikle seröz otitis media, rekürren rinosinüzit, relapsing polikondrit, oral ülserler ve subglottik stenozu kapsar. Başlıca tedavi modalitesi glukokortikoid ve immunsüpresan kombinasyonunun uzun süreli kullanılmasıdır. Erken tanı ve doğru tedavi geridönüşümsüz değişiklikleri önlemek açısından çok önemlidir. Bu yazımızda önceden WG tanısı konulan olgunun daha sonradan gelişen KBB tutulumlarını inceleyip literatür eşliğinde tetkik ve tedavisini tartıştık.
