ABSTRACT
Between years 1991-1995 the operation of open cavity tympanomastoidectomy and reconstruction of ossiculary chain was carried out on 44 cases of our clinic out of these 44 cases 23 cases were followed up later on for postoperative recurrences and to detect any improvement in hearing postoperative recurrence was detected in 13% of the cases. Even though ossicular chain reconstruction was carried out on all the cases the differences between the preoperative odiogram findings were not found to be significant,

ÖZET
1991-1995 yılları arasında kliniğimizde açık kavite timpanomastoidektomi ve kemik zincir rekonstrüksiyonu yapılan 23 olgu postoperatif rekürens ve işitme yönünden değerlendirilmiştir. Olguların %13\'ünde postoperatif dönemde hastalığın tekrar ettiği tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca preoperatif ve postoperatif odyolojik değerlendirme sonuçları karşılaştırılmış ve yapılan kemikçik zincir rekonstrüksiyonuna rağmen postoperatif işitme düzeyinden preoperatif işitme düzeyine göre anlamlı bir iyileşme olmadığı gözlenmiştir.
