ABSTRACT
By the use Chronic sinusitis is one of the major pathologies causing to disorder of sense of smell Successful outcome can be obtained in treatment of smell disorder due to chronic sinusitis by the new developed topical steroids and the functional endoscopic sınus surgery (FESS) which is a recent favorable surgical technique. In this study, the effects of functional endoscopic sınus surgery and use of fluticasone dipropionate (FD) as topical steroid had been investigated on 80 patients with chronic sinusitis accompanying smell disorder as well. as with different stage and forms of sinusitis.

ÖZET
Kronik sinüs enfeksiyonları koku alma bozukluklarının önde gelen nedenlerindendir. Son yıllar ın gözde operasyon tekniği olan fonksiyonel endoskopik sinüs cerrahisi (FESC) ve yeni geliştirilen topikal steroidlerle kronik sinüzite bağlı koku bozukluklarının tedavisinde olumlu sonuçlar alınmaktadır. Bu çalışmada koku bozukluğu da olan 80 kronik sinüzitli olguda ve sinüzitin değişik evre ve formlarında fonksiyonel endoskopik sinüs cerrahisi ve topikal steroid türevi olan flutikazon dipropionat\'ın (FD) koku bozukluğu üzerindeki etkisi araştırılmıştır.
