Ignoring the relation between the chin and the nose is one of the reasons of not getting a satisfactory aesthetical result after septorhinoplasty operations. Delicate equilibrium between the projections of chin and nose is extremely importan; as the projection of chin is increased, the projection of the nose is relatively decreased. The nose and the chin with decreased projection seem bigger and wider t han they are. Several methods can be used for increasing the projection of the chin; one of these methods is augmentation with Mersilene mesh. Augmentation with mersilene which is practical, cheap and easy to apply, yielded aesthetically saticfactory results.
