Objective: The main objective of this study was to evaluate the results obtained using the Turkish version of the International Outcome Inventory for Hearing Aids (IOI-HA) adult patients fitted with hearing aids. Material and Methods: In total of 232 adult patients (in the age range of 31 to 90 years old; mean=66,62±11,6 years), the satisfaction of fitted hearing aid was evaluated using IOI-HA. The Turkish version of the IOI-HA was applied at 1st month, 6th month and 12th month after fitting. The mean scores and correlation coefficients for each item were analyzed statistically. Results: The mean and 1 standard deviation of the total IOI-HA scores at 1st month, 6th month and 12th month after fitting were 30,17±4.12, 30,21±3,99 and 27,04±8,5, respectively. Since there was no statistically significant difference between 1st, 6th and 12th month results, only the long term results (i.e. 12th month results) were statistically analyzed. Interitem correlations were highly significant (p<0.001). Thus, the results of IOI-HA were correlating with literature findings. Conclusion: In this study, outcomes measured using the IOI-HA-TR indicate that this envantory can be used in the evaluation of the hearing aid satisfaction in patients fitted with hearing aid. IOI-HA-TR applied in this study is recommended as a simple and effective outcome measure in the rehabilitation program with hearing aid.

Amaç: Bu çalışmanın temel amacı, işitme cihazı kullanan yetişkin hastalarda Uluslararası İşitme Cihazı Değerlendirme Envanterinin (IOI-HA) Türkçe versiyonunu kullanarak elde edilen sonuçların değerlendirilmesidir. Yöntem ve Gereçler: İşitme cihazı kullanan toplam 232 hastanın (yaş aralığı;31-90 yaş; ortalama=66.62±11.6) işitme cihazından duyduğu memnuniyet IOI-HA kullanılarak değerlendirildi. Cihaz uygulandıktan sonraki 1., 6. ve 12. aylarda IOI-HA-TR ortalama puanları ve her soru için korelasyon değerleri istatistiksel olarak analiz edildi. Bulgular: İşitme cihazı uygulaması sonrası 1., 6. ve 12. aylarda kaydedilen envanter total skor ortalamaları ve ±1 standart sapmaları sırasıyla 30.17±4.12, 30.21±3.99 ve 27.04±8.5 idi. 1., 6. ve 12. aydaki sonuçlar arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı fark olmadığı için, sadece uzun dönem sonuçları (yani 12. ay sonuçları) istatistiksel olarak değerlendirmeye tabi tutuldu. Sorular arası korelasyon değerlerinin anlamlı derecede yüksek olduğu gözlendi (p<0.001). Bu sonuca göre, IOI-HA-TR sonuçları literatür bulguları ile uyumlu bulundu. Sonuç: Bu çalışmada, IOI-HA-TR kullanılarak elde edilen sonuçlar, işitme cihazlı hastaların işitme cihazından memnuniyetini değerlendirmede bu envanterin kullanılabileceğini göstermektedir. Bu çalışmada uygulanan IOI-HA-TR’nin, basit ve etkili bir şekilde işitme cihazlı rehabilitasyon programındaki sonuçları ölçtüğü sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
