ABSTRACT
The study was set out to analyze 180 cases of tmypanoplasty carried out between January 1988-March 1993. The cases had chronic otitis media without cholesteatoma. The length of follow-up was approximately 13 months. in 160 cases, tympanoplasty with or without ossicular reconstruction was performed. But tmypanomastoidectomy was performed in 20 cases. The closure of tympanic membrane perforation was achieved in 85 % of cases. 38 % of cases have had air-bone gap of 20 dB or less.

ÖZET
Bu çalışmada Ocak 1988-Mart 1993 tarihleri arasında timpanoplasti yaptığımız kolesteatoma bulunmayan 180 kronik otitis medialı (KOM} kulak değerlendirildi. Takip süresi ortalama 13 ay idi. Yüzaltmış vakada timpanoplasti ve/veya kemikçik tamiri (23 kulak), 20 vakada ise timpanomastoidektomi yapıldı. Kulak zarı perforasyonu % 85 oranında kapandı ve vakaların % 38\'inde hava kemik yolu farkı 20 dB.in altına indi.
